The Info Refcard

Below is the information from the Info Refcard. These are the commands that the Listserv will accept:

 Cheat Sheet of the most common LISTSERV commands

SEND COMMAND MESSAGES TO THE  FOLLOWING
ADDRESS  NOT TO THE ALLMAN  LIST!

LISTSERV@NETSPACE.ORG

Leave the subject blank, and on the first line of the body of the
message type the appropriate command(s):

To subscribe to the ALLMAN list:

SUBSCRIBE ALLMAN firstname lastname

The default mail setting is to have individual e-mail messages sent
to your mailbox. The volume can be quite LARGE.  For a Digest version 
see below.

To get off the ALLMAN list:

SIGNOFF ALLMAN  

To temporarily stop mail (like when you go on vacation) instead of
signing off the list totally:

SET ALLMAN NOMAIL

When you come back from vacation and want to resume mail in
individual e-mail form:

SET ALLMAN MAIL

If you return from vacation and want to resume mail in Digest form:

SET ALLMAN MAIL DIGEST

To receive ALLMAN in Digest form instead of individual e-mails:

SET ALLMAN DIGEST

"Normal" Digests are sent shortly after midnight with the days'
postings.  A "special" Digest is sent whenever the postings
since the last Digest reach 500 lines.

To  change from Digest form back to individual e-mails (the default):

SET ALLMAN NODIGEST

To receive a list of available archive files that you may have missed while
away:

INDEX ALLMAN

You can then order these files with:

GET ALLMAN LOGXXX

where  LOGXXX is the file number you want.  You get the file
number from the output of the INDEX ALLMAN command.Each file 
contains all the E-mails to the ALLMAN list during 1 week. You can 
order files going back to the week of  4/30/95.  Read them in a 
word processor.
 
Remember to send all *commands* to the Listserv address!
